Saying sorry

Wheel on May-5-09

The latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy tackled about saying sorry and what does it do. My partner in life does not know how to say sorry. Do you?

I remember calling the hotline of the customer service of a telecommunications company and the customer service representative apologized for any discomfort. Lines like, I am sorry to hear that had been used over and over again. Did he really mean it?

When was the last time you said sorry or asked forgiveness?

Elevator proposal

Wheel on March-29-09

The title of Grey’s Anatomy’s latest episode is Elevator Love Letter. At first, I was trying to find what was the connection of the title with the episode. That was until I was able to watch the latter or the closing parts of the episode. Yeah, it was very romantic for Derek to propose to Meredith inside the elevator with all the set-up of brain CT scans. Derrick had all those operations where Meredith was there. He was sort of saying to the original Grey that she is the wings beneath his wings. I love this episode.

Another aspect of the episode was Derrick’s first day at the hospital after a hiatus. Moreover, a major operation on Izzie’s brain. That was full of suspense until the great brain surgeon sort of showed his angst and confidence thru the tone of his voice towards the oncologist who was there to make sure that he was doing the right thing.

Oh, the next episode would be on April 23! Three weeks of waiting again!

Stand By Me

Wheel on March-24-09

It is the title of Grey’s Anatomy’s latest episode. Stand By Me. I love this episode. It is about friendship. It also tells about how we should trust Medicine. Yes, it is a big business but its main purpose still is to save one’s life.

How about the Mer-Der love angle? It is still there but not being given much stress which is okay for me. Though, I know that this show would not survive without them.

So, I am looking forward to the next episode. I hope that it would be better.

Another exciting game at Deal or No Deal today! The contestant was a single Dad of two boys. He is jobless and still studying. There were three numbers left and the values were: 150, 750 and 4M! To put spice on the offer, Kris Aquino, the host of the show asked the contestant if he was willing to give away his good luck charm for a million pesos. That was a picture of his two sons. If he would not, then the offer would only be 700,000.00 pesos. I think it is still a big amount. Anyways, the mother of the contestant asked him to press the button and give away the picture. The usual scene at the audience, some are encouraging him to continue and the others for him to stop.

What he did? He got 150 pesos!

The sweetness of her voice

Wheel on December-21-08

I have been away from blogging lately. No drops, no entries, no comments. Anyways, I have been busy what? Well, office, sleeping and watching TV! Actually watching some of my favorite US shows online. Thanks to those sites that make that possible. Just a while ago, I finished watching episode 10 of Grey’s Anatomy’s season 5. I like the episode. There are many stories in each episode but the one that struck me was the case of a woman who had not spoken for five years and she just communicated with his husband by the use of post-its containing short responses like yes and no! Oh, how hard that situation could be. The mighty and yummy Mark Sloan performed a procedure for her to speak again. The scene when she finally said hi to her husband was really touching.

Come to think of it. Could you live this life without a voice? I could not. I am a very expressive and sometimes even considered as a loud person. Moreover, I love to hear other people’s voices too! Oh, I could not forget the first time my son called me Mommy and said I love you.

I was a Grey’s Anatomy addict before. I was able to watch Seasons 1,2 and 3 in a week’s time! Thanks to my friends who lent those DVDs. Supposedly, I was excited to watch season 4 but it was seemed dragged because of the writers’ strike? I was not able to keep track of it in YouTube neither because I think it has infringement issues already? Anyways, I just thought about it again last night and I learned that there is already a Season 5! Luckily, I was able to get the full episode 1 but I had to watch it until 4AM because of the slow internet connection. Now, I am having a terrible headache due to lack of sleep. Oh, McDreamy! You really gave me a headache but I am glad to see you again!

Oh, darn it! Philippines could have won. How many minutes was the difference before finally reaching the last pit stop between the winners and the Philippine team? I have not watched the whole episode yet because we are still watching Fear Factor and I just took a peek at AXN. Then it was the ending already. Maybe I will not stay up until 1AM later just to watch the delayed telecast. But the tasks seem exciting. I salute Ida and Tania. They seemed very good sports. As of Geoff and Tisha, I understand though why they were sad. They could have won! Being second is rather more painful than finishing last.

I watched Amazing Race Asia last Thursday night…err make it Friday morning and I was so thrilled and excited until the next pit stop. I am so happy that Geoff and Tisha made it to the final three. I am now religiously watching the TV show and make sure to catch every episode even if it means sleeping at 1Am. I could not watch it on primetime because my family members are watching the local shows here.

For me, Amazing Race Asia is one of the truest of all the reality game shows. There is no pretension whatsoever among the players. One of my favorite episodes was when Geoff and Tisha had to carry a 20 kilo fish on their shoulders. That must be physically exhausting. They won the first place in that stretch.

I also like the competitive spirits of Ida and Tania. I think that they deserve to win the race if Geoff and Tisha would not. These women always give their best shot in every task. They are clever too.

In the last episode, Geoff and Tisha seemed lost their smartness on the PIN to be entered for the next clue at the ATM machine. The ones who had the most intelligent move were AD and Fuzzie who asked the bystanders in what year Gandhi was born. 1869. They did not even have to look for the statue because they were brought directly to the bank.

The Cliffhanger part was painful for the last two teams. Luck struck for the last team to qualify for the finals, that is Sam and Vince.

Amazing Race Asia – I will certainly miss this show once it is over.

I missed it!

Oh, I missed the CSI last night. Actually, I was trying to turn the remote control to and fro the show that we were usually watching but my son has this power over me. We ended up watching “Three Dads and One Mom” at ABS CBN channel 2. I was able to just took a peek and I saw that Mac’s son was saved. I do not know what happened next. Oh well, I just have to grab the DVD copy of Season 4, I guess.

Watching CSI

Wheel on October-21-08

Riding the taxi- how safe is a taxi ride? CSI New York is featuring crimes inside the cab. I just do not know if the killer will already be captured in the next episode. I would be able to find out tommorow.

Last Tuesday….

I just finished watching CSI.The taxi cab driver is still on the lose.Oh, it gets exciting and full of suspense. That is why I love CSI.I have a haunch though that it could be the coin cleaner who is the killer? Criminals are very intelligent to get away. It is 2am now. I got much TV already though I am not sleepy yet. I am tempted to open the PC and search for CSI New York episodes. What is being shown here are not the latest ones so I am sure that most of you already know what the end of the story is. I do not know if I can still wait until Tuesday for the next episode.

Oh well, it is Tuesday here once again. I have to wait for the replay though because my housemates are not fond of watching CSI.
