Country before self
Before I go, I would really like about Philippine politics. Well, Noynoy Aquino is a sure winner already while his running mate, Mar Roxas is still in the thin line. I do not know what happened to Mar Roxas. Has he gone complacent during the campaign? I believe that all of them tried to go to all the places in the country especially in the vote rich provinces. But, did you notice that Mar Roxas somehow stopped showing his ads in TV when he run for VP instead of the Presidency? He had few exposures but in spite of that, he led the surveys until one week before the elections when Jojo Binay got to the first place or tied with him. What could have went wrong? I wonder what could have happened if he continued to run for the highest post in the land?
The thrust was to defeat Manny Villar thus they convinced Noynoy Aquino to run. Mar was forced to give way? What if he did not give way? I think that if Mar did not give way, he will not win as President neither and it could have been ERAP or Manny Villar. However, I wish that Mar stood firm and followed his heart.
What happened Mar Roxas?
I am for Mar Roxas. His slogan truly reflects his persona and his love for the Philippines. Country before self. He had sacrificed much. That is why, I understand his wife, Korina if she is very sad right now. The people who loves you are the ones who are more hurt when something bad happens to you.
Noynoy Aquino will be Philippine President come June 30. I hope that Mar Roxas, win or no win as VP will still serve the country. He has to. The country needs him VP or no VP. Do not worry, your time will come.
