Life is Like a Wheel

Do I look like a mortgage calculator? I did not even have many Math subjects in College. Well, yes, I might be good in analysis but, Math, no! Yes, let the computers do the computing, huh! Well, I just thought of that since I am about to return to office from a two day vacation. I work for a telecommunications company and I belong to the Billing department. Actually, to be more specific, I handle billing concerns, or should I say, complaints! I must say that it is a group that has a high level of stress since we deal with irate customers and Math! Who could beat that, huh?

My Uncle was a soldier. Because of the distance from his family from time to time that they had to be in a mission, he had to give up. Now he is into Armed Services job search. He is considering going back to the service but the question is if he will be accepted again. He is somehow devastated being jobless. He applied in a security agency before but the night shifts made him resigned also. Now, he is not fit for those jobs. He gained much weight and the soldier stature that he once had is completely lost.

There are so many things I want to do right now. I want to pursue my profession. I want to take review classes so that I could pass the boards. When I already passed the boards, I would work as a volunteer in hospitals or clinics then eventually resign from my present job right now. Maybe I would take part time jobs only then land a permanent job that involves my real profession.

I do not know if I could do that because I could not afford to lose my present job.

Anyways, I know that I could still make it if I have focus.

You lost your job? Then find another one. I know that it is painful and could even lead to depression and temporary insanity but life must go on. Easier said than done?

I really do not have any right to say that you should not be sad or do not cry over that . I think I, myself do not have any plans or fall back if ever that happens to me.

There is a package? well, make sure that the money that you would get would last until you find another job or any source of income.

Maybe it is the best time to reassess things in your life and start anew. Who knows, there is something big waiting for you?

Not much of bloggers last Septemebr 1- meaning I did not see droppers at my dashboard. It was Labor Day in US, that is why? Oh! I wonder how it was like. In the Philippines, there is a group called Kilusang Mayo Uno.It is an organization composed of laborers. Labor day here is every May 1.They got their name from it.Kilusang Mayo Uno means May First Org?Well I do not have knowledge of their goals but all I know is I always see them at the streets holding rallies especially on Labor Day.

My three-day vacation ends today. It came by surprise to my husband though that I did not go to office today. He did not know that I was on vacation leave yesterday, eh! I wanted to cancel the leave but my superior told me that it has been submitted already. If I insisted, that could have not been pursued but then again I chose to oblige. I think I needed it anyway. I just stayed home. Less exposure. The malls are far from our place already and going there would mean a minimum of P500 to spend. I cannot squeeze it in to be part of our expenses as of the moment. It has been fruitful though staying home. At least I was able to finish some tasks that have been waiting to be touched for more than a month now.

So, what do I expect tomorrow as I go back to work? I hope that as usual everything will be well. I pray that there will be no external nor internal pressures to add to the difficulty of the job. What makes me happy going there are my peers. The salary too, of course!
