Life is Like a Wheel

By this time, I am sure that my Aunt who works abroad is done filling in those shipping boxes. I wonder what is in store for us this Christmas. It is always a very good surprise. The thought itself and the effort of buying things for us is really well appreciated. We are now waiting for her call for us to go to her house. More than the material things that we will get going there, what we are excited about is to see our relatives. We get to see them only once in a year. It is still a good feeling that you belong and you are not alone in this world.

I am worried about my friend. She is getting thinner and thinner as days go buy. No, she is not taking fat burners. She is having a very big family problem that caused her not to eat and just think about it all the time. She is miserable. She lost more than 30 pounds in two months. I do not know if I will be sad for her or be happy for her. She is on the heavy side. The losing of weight is doing her good somehow but I am concerned about her health… and her happiness. I hope she will be able to finally move on. Anyways, there are other fishes in the ocean.

One of my friends is going to leave the country for good. The reason? Everybody’s reason. That is to seek greener pasture. This early, even if she is not yet in the land of milk and honey, her relatives and the rest of the people who are close to her are trying to cheer her up so that she would not be home sick. Well, the usual goodbyes and see you soon and bring me this and that talk. I heard one of her nieces asking for shoes. She said that she wants Naot shoes. I think her niece has a great taste for shoes. I searched for Naot shoes online and I love some pairs for myself. No, I did not tell my friend to buy me one too. I might just purchase it online.

Thank God that my nephew finally decided to go back to school. It is the best gift that he gave to his Mom who is celebrating her birthday today.

My sister did not take a leave and I wonder how she would celebrate her birthday. It could have been perfect timing because there are no classes. However, she has to report for work.

Learn how to swim or how to play piano? These are just two summer activities that we are thinking for our son to try. We have a friend who is a pianist and we might just get her services to teach our son. She is one of the best teachers since she was even sent abroad to hone her craft. She is teaching at one of the most prestigious universities in our country.

Hmmmm…I smell tocino, fried rice with lots of garlic and sunny side up egg! I have to wake up already! It is breakfast time! My hubby is already there at the kitchen doing his favorite chore! Cooking! Yes, my husband loves to cook and he could not miss breakfast. Expect that he would be grumpy all day if he missed that meal.

A snake! My sister in law who happened to live in the same village as we, rushed and knocked to our door. She was gasping for air and told us that there was a snake inside their house! A few months ago, their neighbor caught one also. I am not surprised because this village was a farmland before. As a matter of fact, there is a vast area covered with grass that has not been developed yet. It is alarming though because the snake can be harmful. She asked my husband to catch it. Almost two hours has passed and they have not come back yet. I hope they will catch the snake soon.

I asked my husband yesterday to accompany me to the bank. I have to pay some bills and had to go to fax service also. We do not have a fax machine at home. Well, my errand cannot wait until tomorrow. I am actually going to file for a short-term loan again. Our budget seems not to suffice or last us until the next payday.

I woke up rather late at 10 AM. I went to the PC right away to check some e-mails. I can see that he is not in the mood. There is no food at the table yet. Well, I do not really take breakfast. Besides, can’t he do it himself? Oh, well… I love my husband. It is just that he is so cranky. All this time, his face is crumpled. So, I decided, I will not go to the bank anymore and let us all get hungry! Just kidding! I do not get on with his crankiness. I let it pass. Yes, I am that patient. Oh, he it is lunchtime already! Yes, still no food? He went out to buy it.

About the bank? Yes, we are still going.

My son would like to play outside. It is a hot and sunny day. He does not have any playmates though. I do not know, maybe he just wanted to go out. Then he came inside and asked me, “Mommy, where are my sunglasses? I have to wear it because it is sunny!”…Whaaaattt? He is playing one of his cars and he would like to wear shades while playing? Anyways, he is like that sometimes. Out of the blue, he would blurt out things.

School had started and I have been playing the role of teacher mommy. Before, I wanted to be a preschool teacher but now, I do not want to. He,he,he. Yes, I am having a hard time teaching my child. Maybe because he is quite spoiled by me. When he says that he is tired, I let him be. Oh, well, he is just a young kid. He still needs all the playing around.
