Life is Like a Wheel

Camote cue in Filipino, that is our favorite merienda/ snack the past two weeks now. For only ten pesos, you can buy a stick. It tastes good. I could say healthy too? Well, as long as you do not eat all the sugar on it. Besides, it is being cooked in oil. I hope the oil that the vendor used is clean.

I said, thanks to camote cue a while ago because my husband began to smile again after we bought four sticks. Yes, two each for both of us. He then kidded that he is so cheap that it only takes eating the sweet potato for him to be jolly again

I miss Pahiyas. It is the feast being held every 15^th of May supposedly to thank the patron saint of farmers who is San Isidro Labrador. There are many towns in Quezon, Philippines that hold Pahiyas but it is Lucban, Quezon that is most famous for it. That day is actually considered as one of the tourist attractions in the Philippines. Houses are decorated with fruit harvests, vegetables, rice and the well-known Kiping. It has been more than a decade since I have been there. I hope to go back soon to that place where my formation years were spent.

I would like to retire but I just would like to write that I am very happy that it is my rest day tomorrow! After five days of working straight! At least I could really rest and do other things like clean the house maybe or just sit here and write.
I have to go to bed.
